We really are just very insignificant in the long run.

I took this picture, sometime in June, during the week when my grandfather was to be buried. The entire family was together for this event. I saw relatives I rarely ever get to see, all of us stuck under one roof.... Pity it takes something tragic to bring people together...

Anyway. It had been a rather difficult beginning to my first summer out of high school, if you can understand. As usual, in this kind of event, I'm the one keeping strong (stoic) and comforting all those around me really. I still don't think I've actually let myself deal with his passing yet. I remember though, being outside, and feeling everything darkening. I remember looking up and staring at this phenomenon, watching the clouds of a storm drifting through, with the sun creating a tunnel of light into the sky. And for as dark as the storm got, the clouds still glowed.
